Jingle Bell Run

 ~Congratulations to Sarah Aquino for winning 2nd Place overall in the Jingle Bell Run!  Allison Aquino finished 4th overall and first in her age group!  Travis and Teddy both finished third in their age groups and came home with medals!  Awesome race and good job San Pablo Sandpipers!

 Our last run of the first quarter took place after Hurricane Matthew devastated the beaches!  We saw first hand how dangerous weather and the ocean can be!  Thanks Coach Gilbert for the treats to celebrate our last run!

Speedy Runners at San Pablo Elementary

On your mark… Get set… GO!  The San Pablo Elementary School Competitive Running Club was off to a quick start during the Hats off Hustle 5K race! The team took home five first-place trophies! Leading the club was Sarah Aquino (age 9) and Allison Aquino (age 10), who finished first and second, respectively, in the open women’s race. Sarah also ran the sixth-fastest time overall (23:23), while Allison finished 11th overall (25:36) in the 3.1-mile race. The team also saw Azure Dill and Travis Hardy win their age-group divisions. Way to go!

~Our last big run before Hurricane Matthew!  Our last run next week will be a bit longer than usual...please plan to pick up at 4:45!

Getting ready for Hats Off Hustle 5K

 ~Today we had our last run before the Hats Off Hustle 5K in Riverside on Friday night at 7:00 at the Riverside Arts Market!  See you there at 6:30 PM.  Mr. Gibbons will pick up all race packets Thursday night and send them home in backpacks on Friday!  If you have a San Pablo shirt wear it to there ace!

Running in the Rain

 ~We did not let a little rain and tropical storm stop us from getting ready for our 5K on September 30th on the Beach!  We are going to be ready for The Hats Off Hustle at 7:00 on Friday 9/30/16!!!

Our first Beach run!

 ~We had our first 3 mile beach run...with a short break at the half way point!  Awesome job today!  Pretty soon we will be ready for our 5K on September 30!

Race for our Club!!

~The Competitive Running Club will be running the Hats of Hustle on September 30 at 7:00 PM.   The cost is only $15 until August 31st... On Sept. 1 the price goes up to $20...this includes a T-shirt, awards for those who place..and other swag!  To register click HERE !  Mr. Gibbons will be running!

Fourth Quarter Runners

~I think this is the best group of runners so far this year.  Everyone did three miles on the firs day...and it was HOT!!!!!  Congratulations to Delaney, Robbie, and Ryan,  for keeping up with us quite successfully on their first run! Adam, Ella, Gabe, Brendan and Ethan led the pack as usual... great job! Welcome back Cade and Isaac!
